Margarita

Ingredients:
4.5 oz tequila (El Jimador reposado recommended)
1.5 oz triple sec (Patron Citronge recommended)
1.5 oz lime juice + extra for rimming
1.5 oz simple syrup
kosher salt
lime slice/wedge garnish
ice

Equipment:

12 oz margarita/martini glass or two 6 oz cocktail glasses (optionally pre-chilled)

Shaker

Directions:
Put extra lime juice on a plate and rub rim of glass until coated (alternate: rub rim with a lime). Cover a plate with kosher salt and place the glass rim in it until well coated. Shake very lightly upside-down to remove any loose salt, especially inside the glass.

Combine tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup in shaker. Add ice and shake until the shaker gets cold to the touch and immediately pour into glass, being careful of the rim salt. Garnish with lime slice or wedge and serve.

Servings:
One full 12 oz margarita/martini glass (9 oz fluid) or two 6 oz cocktail glasses.
